About the project
Clear observations, honest limits
Mouse Diagnostic is an independent browser tool for checking common mouse input problems without an installation, account, or hardware permission.
What the site measures
The three V1 tools observe wheel, click, and button events delivered to the page. They summarize event direction, timing, and logical button activity so the result is easier to understand than a raw counter.
What the site does not measure
The browser does not provide direct access to every hardware signal. These tools do not certify polling rate, latency, DPI, sensor quality, or physical switch condition. An observed pattern can suggest a useful next step, but it cannot prove a hardware failure.
Why the language is cautious
Input can be changed by a mouse, trackpad, operating-system setting, browser, extension, remote desktop, or device utility. Repeating a result and comparing another environment is more useful than a dramatic one-session verdict.
