Privacy policy

The core mouse tests process observed browser events locally. Raw wheel, click, and button samples are not uploaded to a Mouse Diagnostic server.

Information processed during tests

While a test is active, the page temporarily stores event timestamps, wheel delta values and modes, or logical mouse button codes in browser memory. Resetting, rerunning, closing, or refreshing the page discards that session data.

Permissions

The site does not request camera, microphone, location, Bluetooth, USB, clipboard, notification, or fullscreen permission.

Analytics, advertising, and cookies

With your consent where required, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate site use, such as pages visited, approximate location, browser and device information, and time spent on pages. We may also use Google AdSense to display advertising. Google and its advertising technology partners may use cookies or similar identifiers for measurement, advertising, fraud prevention, and ad personalization according to your choices.

Google Funding Choices presents consent or opt-out controls where applicable. You can change a prior choice at any time through the Privacy and cookie settings button in the footer. If you decline a purpose, the corresponding Google Analytics or advertising tag is not loaded by this site. We do not send raw mouse wheel, click, or button samples to Google Analytics, AdSense, or another advertising service.

A local-storage value is used only to remember your light, dark, or system theme preference. For more information about how Google handles information, see Google’s Privacy Policy.

Hosting logs

Like most websites, the hosting provider may process standard request information such as IP address, user agent, requested URL, and time for security and delivery. Raw mouse test samples are not part of those requests.
